Yarn for Noa

All my prices below are "trade" values.

If you're interested in actually buying anything, I'll knock the prices down. :)

Here's the pile. The LCBO bag is filled with more of the lopi-like bulky wool singles (see desc waaay at the bottom of the page)

Emu Filigree - 3+ sk - 25g per sk - no yardage given - asking $20 for the lot

Blue core with white mohair

75% Mohair
20% Wool
5% Nylon

I dyed this with Koolaid and used it for my Space Invader scarves. I still have a little bit of the purple and leftovers of a fourth skein lying around.

At the time I paid around $8/sk but in retrospect it seems overpriced (those were my early days of knitting and I was naive :D).

Pingouin alpaga - 5+ sk - 50g/145m per sk - Asking $6 per skein

Marigold orange
100% alpaca

Also purchased in the early days of knitting. I love alpaca but this is really not my colour.

You can see my attempt to use it here. The colour's faded in the pics. It's a deeper orangey colour in person. I have a huge swatch that you can have if you're interested. If felted it might make a nice .. um.. quilt patch?

Intarsia'd, I got about 5 st/inch with this. A nice pliable fabric, although it could be tightened up a bit. On its own, you would probably want to double it up unless you want alpaca socks!

BMS Mohair - 5 sk - 20g/90m per skein - Asking $6 per skein

Just a touch off of snow white

90% kid mohair
10% polyamide

stashed

Misc Odd Balls

I know you said you weren't as interested in odd balls, but who knows?

Purple mohair - California by Valeria di Roma - stashed - $5

Blue merino aran - Kashmir Aran by Louisa Harding - stashed - $8

Dark green alpaca blend aran - Carioca by Michell & CIA Luxury collection - stashed - $6

Recycled yarns

Next are a bunch of recycled yarns - I don't know what your "ew" factor is, but the sweaters were clean when bought, then washed in the washing machine and laid flat to dry (except the lopi-like wool, I think I handwashed that one). Yarn has not been straightened.

Bulky blue wool singles - TONS - $15?

Medium blue (majority) with odd bits of light blue and off-white. Feels like pure wool, but softer. Maybe has some mohair?

This is a bulky yarn which came from an HUGE sweater - I'd say an XL. The medium blue has some long white fibres running throughout but is otherwise a pretty solid colour. Are you interested in this type of yarn? I'd like $15 for the lot. I'm not sure how this kind of yarn usually costs.

Cotton/Angora mix - $15 for the lot

stashed

I know you said wool, but there's enough here for an Irish Hiking scarf, which I made for my Mom and it was beautiful.

Merino/Acrylic mix - $6 for the lot

stashed

Soft, fuzzy looking. Nothing too spectacular, but everything I've made from it has been thrown in the washer/dryer and has come out looking fine (a few pills). There's enough for a small project - like a Shedir hat, with some left overs.
